The atmosphere on the coach was surprisingly jovial considering the time of the morning. Fatigue had been postponed by anticipation of another remarkable day exploring the hostile landscape of south-western Tunisia.

Fellow passengers appeared surprisingly refreshed, and as the coach made its way out of the desert oasis town of Douz the sleep induced silence of the previous morning had been replaced by excited chatter. Read more here
